vintage pen overview summary

Up here is a vintage Waterman's Ideal No.5 fountain pen, which was manufactured in Canada circa 1930s. In 1927 Waterman's began to abandon its Standard Numbering System, which started with the new model No. 5 and No. 7. To indicate the size of the nib, a new system was designed. The nib coding system offered 6 dintinct types of nibs, with each type assigned a 'color'. Up here for sales is a pen with BROWN nib. This Waterman's is a fine example, in excellent black celluloid with art-deco gold capband and gold filled trim. The pen is supberbly detailed with crisp twin imprint. The lever filling system of the pen is in perfect working order. A new sac has been fitted.

The pen has been serviced and tested for full functionality. This Waterman's is a classic elegance and has been produced to the highest standards of craftsmanship. This would make an excellent gift to treat yourself or for someone special.
