Up here is a vintage Mabie Todd BLACKBIRD SELF-FILLING PEN MODEL BB2/46 fountain pen, which was manufactured in England circa 1940s. The pen comes with original Blackbird paper giftbox and papers in minty condition. The pen is in nice condition, in BLUE GOLD MARBLE pattern, very attractive and highly collectible pattern. The pen is superbly detailed, with 'BLACKBIRD' signature all around. On the top of the cap pocket clip is a 'BLACKBIRD' logo embossed. Also 'BLACKBIRD' brand name is embossed on the feed and section. The imprint is impressive. The pen bears a Blackbird 14ct solid gold nib. A new ink sac has been fitted to the pen. The self-filler system is in perfect working order. Only there are some wear on the body due to age. The pen has been serviced and tested for its full functionality.
